Launch into a fully private, fully guided sea kayaking journey through the remote islands and channels of Vancouver Island’s wild west coast. Whether you choose the quieter Deer Group Islands in Barkley Sound, the protected waters of the Broken Group, the rainforest shores of Clayoquot Sound, or a completely custom route we design for you, you’ll paddle exposed outer shores and calm inner channels, camp on secluded sandy coves, and experience the raw character of the Pacific edge.

The coast offers something different every season: spring brings migrating gray whales and emerging growth, summer evenings are long with active marine life, autumn brings quieter waters and salmon runs, and winter delivers dramatic weather and solitude for the prepared. Expect bald eagles soaring overhead, sea lions crowding rocky islets, harbour seals surfacing beside the kayaks, and seasonal chances of humpbacks, sea otters, and black bears foraging the shoreline. Ancient cedar forests and quiet beaches provide the backdrop for every night’s camp. Days are paced to the tides, weather, and your group’s energy—a mix of paddling, beach exploration, wildlife watching, and time to simply sit with the ocean.

Every trip is private to your group of 2–10 people and available for 2–7 days, any time of the year. One or more experienced local guides handle routing, safety, and camp setup so you can focus on the paddle and the place. We can also set one up completely for you—fully customized dates, length, route, pace, and emphasis (more wildlife time, relaxed beach days, skill-building, or longer crossings) based on your group’s experience and goals. Gear rentals are fully customizable: we can provide everything you need (kayaks, camping equipment, dry bags, and more) or you can bring your own. Meals can be fully catered by your guide or you can self-cater if you prefer.
